This is the BEST makeup ever to grace the market. It was cost effective, hypo-allergenic and it felt HEALTHY on my skin! Why would Almay discontinue their absolute BEST product?! That must have been a man's decision because no woman in her right mind would have gotten rid of such a great foundation!

I used this product for 8 years and loved it! It made my skin look flawless! Even held up through dancing, working out, sleeping, you name it. I recently found something just as great, or maybe even better. I wanted to tell all of you women who are missing this product as badly as I was about the new foundation I discovered, but as I just signed up for this account I just read that we are not allowed to advertize anything. I'm so bummed! I'm going to see if I can find the new foundation I found on here and make a comparison.

I am absolutely gutted that this foundation has been discontinued. I have used it for a very long time as a concealer and for me it is the best product i own. It covers even stubborn spots. For me I would not use as a foundation as is too heavy. A bottle of this stuff lasts me a year is amazing hence why i have given it a 'cheap' rating. It is about a tenner in UK but worth every penny.
I am also very gutted that almay is no longer sold AT ALL in the UK. I have also seen how prices for this foundation have soared on ebay (where i usually buy it)- does anyone else know anywhere you can you can buy it in UK?

The form lists all countries under the sun but does not seem to recognise non US information (how frustrating!) I have pointed this out to Almay. I have had to enter a US zip code and State to make it accept the email.
Can I suggest that we ALL do this, (and please get your friends to as well!) I will personally email them every single day until they reconsider the withdrawl of this product. I really cannot do without it.

Why did Almay take this off the market??? It was my best friend in makeup and there's not another foundation to compare.
I may be 52 years old but I still have sensitive skin and Amazing Lasting doesn't break me out, and covers the age spots I'm starting to get. It would stay all day and all night if I wasn't washing my face every night.
I had to buy every last bottle I could get at a closeout store and mix the darker with the lighter to get a shade "suitable" to my skin tone.
Did Almay think they'd make more sells by discontinuing the one that lasts so long? I feel like it was a dirty trick to loyal customers. What are we going to do now? The TLC doesn't cover as well or last as long. Bring Amazing Lasting Foundation back for us, please!

I cannot believe this product had been discontinued, it was like my child. Neutral was the perfect colour for my skin tone and as for coverage and lasting, flawless! I could have it on for hours and it wouldn't budge. It looked natural and since it was discontinued, I have found no alternative that compares. I've been on Almay site to comment, but they don't accept comments from the UK! A partition should be seriously be made, we want it back Almay! I know I'm only 17 but this product being hypo-allergenic, 16 hours plus and spot on toning was amazing. I don't like heavy make up, and this was bliss. Anyone got any partition ideas?

I am gutted that this foundation was discontinued, I bought a few bottles from Ebay and have nearly finished my last bottle. I absolutely adore this foundation, it covers the dark cirles around my eyes, covers blemishes and makes my skin look radiant. It feels so light and lasts forever! Even after a drunken night out when have forgotten to take my makeup off and just fallen into bed, I have awoken with the foundation still looking great! I love it so much I am not ashamed to admit that!!! lol
I have just tried the Almay alternative tlc in the same shade I wore in the amazing lasting (Neutral) and it looks a whole shade darker, doesn't cover as well as amazing lasting and feels tight and cheap on my skin...why the hell did Almay discontinue the AMAZING lasting foundation?!!! It was truly amazing.
I am getting married next May and am panicking about what foundation I am going to use...I am going to look awful without it!
I tried to contact Almay via their website but it prompts me to add in a zip code and doesn't recognise the UK. I am soooo gutted!

I want them to bring it back, this is my favourite foundation. Made my skin look wonderful and I had the PERFECT shade. felt quite light too. Loved it, will be upset when it runs out!!

Loved this foundation. Was my HG of foundations and no matter what I try I still miss it. So wishing Almay would bring it back. It worked so great in heat and humidity and always looked so great on. Tried the new almay TLC but it just wasn't the same for me. Please Almay bring back the original Almay Amazing Lasting Foundation. It was amazing!

A close replacement is Almay's TLC (Truly Lasting Color) liquid foundation. I'm having great success with the TLC makeup... lasts, has good coverage for blemishes, and I swear it's even cleared up my skin. I noticed it cut down on my oily shine a lot even through the humid summer and didn't make me sweat. I like that Almay's makeup looks so natural on me... I have asian olive undertones and unlike most makeups this one doesn't look fake and pink on me. I hope almay keeps it around this time

This was a great foundation. Bring it back Almay!

Well, everyone, the time has come to cheer up! I, too, was feeling rather sad that the Amazing Lasting product was being discontinued, and I resorted to attempting to obtain it from eBay...and you know how that goes [it's a ripoff]. I contacted Almay directly, but Revlon, the parent company, has offered complexion clearing makeup as a substitute product. Not good.

Then, I discovered 2 makeup foundations that can take the place of Almay's Amazing Lasting Foundation easily:

(a) L'Oreal Infallible. I'm so happy with it: smooth, matte finish, medium to full coverage, and it looks fresh even after several hours of wear. After finishing it off with translucent powder, my blemishes and discolorations are nowhere in sight. It also touts itself as a 16-hour makeup foundation, just like Almay's. Furthermore, it's priced at about the same as Almay's was [+/- $10-$12].

(b) Estee Lauder's Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup. It's superb: 15-hour staying power, flawless all day, semi-matte finish. But it is in a higher price range [about $33 for 1 oz bottle].

On the other hand, in January 2008 I found that Almay has a new foundation on the market, Truly Lasting Color [TLC] which seems to replace the Amazing Lasting that we all love. However, like the complexion clearing makeup, it does not provide the same coverage and flawlessness that characterized Almay Amazing Lasting foundation. So now we have 2 choices instead of one: L'Oreal's Infallible and Estee Lauder's Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup, depending on your budget.

I too am mad because Almay discontinued this wonderful foundation. I found some on ebay about 2 years ago and bought 10 bottles of it, but I'm down to my last 3 and starting to panick. I found 2 bottles on ebay that they were selling for 50$ which is robbery, but these people obviously know how desperate women are getting for this stuff. I am a dental assistant, so I have to wear masks all day and the makeup doesn't rub off inside the mask like other ones did. It was perfect!! I have the number to Almay from another post and intend on calling tomorrow. It would be wonderful if they did bring it back. My question is, does anyone have a replacement that is close to this? I usually spend a fortune about every 5 years buying different makeups to find a decent one. I really don't want to do it again!

I haven't used this for a while. I like to chop and change my make up now and again, especially with the change in the seasons. I have been using Laura Mercier foundation, which I think is universally recognised as good, but I had forgotten how good this one is. I have shade 04 neutral. It's oil free and SPF 6. The neutral tone is perfect for my fair skin and it really does last a long while as it says.
But now I find from the MUA reviews that this has been discontinued. Story of my life! How many times have you found the perfect lipstick but can never find it a second time?
This product has received good reviews so it must be selling well. Don't these people take any notice of their sales figures? I can't recall ever having bought any other Almay product except this one, and I probably never will now since there is no need for me to call at that counter.

My favorite foundation ever (I changed foundations soo often and eventually realized I already had the best) and they discontinued it. ugh what a bunch of losers at almay...and the new stuff they're coming out with doesn't even work nearly as well. The 2nd best thing I've found in terms of coverage and colorstay is the complexion clearing makeup. But still its no substitute:(

I love this foundation, it evens out my skin tone really well and has good staying power. I live in Australia and it seems they still stock it here at priceline stores. I definatly recomend using this foundation if u can get ur hands on it!!
